The Kenosha County Workforce Alliance (Alliance) provides advocacy for the cause of supporting, recognizing, and retaining the direct care workforce. We are employers and advocates.
The Alliance advocates for the direct care workforce in different ways. Our Public Policy Committee follows both state and national legislative processes and policies that directly affect our direct care workforce. We are members of Wisconsin Long Term Care Workforce Alliance, and Wisconsin Family and Caregiver Support Alliance. One of our resources is Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute as well as others to help keep us abreast of national policies.
There are many ways you can help advocate for Wisconsin’s Long Term Care Workforce. One way is to just say Thank You. It only takes a moment.

As part of our advocacy for direct care workforce careers, the Alliance provides as much information as possible. Our goal is to help the public understand the workforce crisis as well as realizing the importance and value of these careers.
You will find articles, reports, and studies below to learn more about the direct care workforce and their clients and consumers. (LaVerne & Amy - Are there more recent resources available?)

It only takes a minute to say thank you, to tell someone you appreciate the key role they play in caring for the people that mean the most to you.
The Alliance recognizes the indispensable role frontline workers play in the lives of our elderly and disabled populations. They make a huge difference in the lives of the people they care for.
